Privacy Policy
How ItMichael collects, uses, and protects your personal data — in plain English.
1. Who is responsible for your data
ItMichael is operated by Mykhailo Hryhorenko, an independent IT technician based in Dublin, Ireland. For any data-related questions, contact:
- Email: hryhorenko.misha@gmail.com
- Phone: +353 87 371 86 76
2. What data is collected
When you use the contact form or reach out directly, the following data may be collected:
- Your name
- Email address or phone number
- Service category selected
- Free-text message describing your issue
When you book an appointment online, the following is collected: your name, email address, phone number, the service, date and time you picked, and, if you give them, your address (for visits) and a description of the problem.
If you engage ItMichael for a service, additional data may be collected as needed to complete the work — for example, device details, account credentials (handled securely and deleted after use), or business information.
3. Why your data is collected
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Provide the IT service you requested
- Follow up on completed work if needed
Your data is never sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for automated profiling or decision-making.
4. Legal basis for processing
Data is processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — necessary for performing a contract or taking pre-contractual steps at your request (i.e. responding to your enquiry and providing services). Where you contact ItMichael voluntarily, your submission constitutes a clear request to be contacted back.
5. How long your data is kept
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months after the last interaction, then permanently deleted. If you become a client, records related to the service may be retained for up to 24 months for warranty, follow-up, and legal compliance purposes.
6. Where your data is stored
Enquiry data is stored on devices and services operated within the European Economic Area (EEA). If any third-party tool is used (e.g. email), it will be a provider that complies with GDPR or operates under an EU adequacy decision. Analytics data, if you consent to it, is processed by Google — see section 9.
Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to the owner via Telegram (Telegram FZ-LLC, Dubai, UAE), which means the content of your enquiry is transmitted outside the EEA. On the way, the form passes through a small relay run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which forwards it to Telegram and does not keep a copy.
Bookings are stored in a Google Sheet (Google Ireland Ltd) that only the owner can open, a notice of each booking is sent to the owner via Telegram, and your confirmation email is sent via Resend (Resend Inc., USA, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework / Standard Contractual Clauses). Booking records are deleted after 12 months. If you would rather not use Telegram for this, email or phone directly using the details in section 1 instead.
7. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification — correct any inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — limit how your data is processed
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
To exercise any of these rights, email hryhorenko.misha@gmail.com. Requests will be responded to within 30 days.
8. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. It sets cookies in your browser (typically _ga and _ga_*, stored for up to 2 years) and collects a truncated IP address, approximate location (country/city), device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring source.
Analytics are strictly optional. Nothing is loaded and no cookie is set until you press Accept analytics on the consent banner. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, Google Analytics is never loaded. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. 336/2011).
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing your browser's site data. Withdrawal takes effect immediately for future visits.
No advertising or remarketing features are enabled, no data is sold, and IP anonymisation is switched on.
Besides analytics, this site stores one small item in your browser's local storage: your cookie choice. It is strictly necessary for the site to work as you asked it to and are never sent anywhere.
9. Third-party resources
The font and icons are built into this website's own files — nothing is fetched from a font or icon CDN.
Photos on this site are served by Unsplash (images.unsplash.com, Unsplash Inc., USA). To show them, your browser sends Unsplash your IP address and basic browser details, as with any image request. Unsplash sets no cookies for these images and gets no information about what you do on this site. We rely on our legitimate interest in showing pictures of the work (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); see unsplash.com/privacy.
The other third-party resource is Google Analytics, loaded from googletagmanager.com and only after you consent. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4). Analytics data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, in which Google participates. Google's own privacy policy applies to that processing: policies.google.com/privacy. You can also block Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
10. Right to complain
If you believe your data has been mishandled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (DPC) of Ireland:
- Website: www.dataprotection.ie
- Phone: +353 (0)761 104 800
- Address: 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28

Terms & Conditions
The terms that govern ItMichael's services — clear, fair, and without the legal fog.
1. About ItMichael
ItMichael is an IT support service operated by Mykhailo Hryhorenko, based in Dublin, Ireland. Services are offered to individuals and small businesses on a per-job or per-session basis.
2. Services
ItMichael provides IT support including but not limited to: diagnostics, repair, software installation, data transfer, network configuration, security setup, hardware upgrades, PC builds, and IT consultancy. Services are delivered remotely or on-site across Dublin by appointment.
ItMichael reserves the right to decline any job — for example, if the issue is beyond scope, involves illegal activity, or poses a risk to the technician or equipment.
3. "No fix, no fee" policy
If ItMichael is unable to resolve the issue you reported, you will not be charged for the diagnostic or repair attempt. This applies to standard troubleshooting and repair jobs. Exceptions:
- Parts and materials — if components were purchased on your behalf, those costs are non-refundable regardless of outcome
- Data recovery — if a recovery attempt is made with specialised tools or a third-party lab, a fee may apply even if not all data is recoverable
- On-site callout — a call-out fee may apply for on-site visits where the issue was misrepresented or where the client cancels after the technician arrives
- Scope change — if the issue turns out to be different from what was described and additional work is needed, this will be communicated and agreed before proceeding
4. Pricing and payment
Pricing is communicated before work begins — either as a flat rate or an hourly estimate. Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed. Accepted methods: bank transfer, Revolut, or cash (on-site only).
5. Liability
ItMichael takes reasonable care when handling your devices and data. However:
- ItMichael is not liable for pre-existing hardware failures that become apparent during or after a repair
- ItMichael is not liable for data loss — you are strongly advised to back up your data before any service. If you request data-related work, the risk is acknowledged
- Total liability for any claim is limited to the fee paid for the specific service in question
IT advice and recommendations are provided in good faith and based on professional experience, but are offered as-is without guarantee of a specific outcome.
6. Cancellations
You may cancel a scheduled appointment at any time before the technician departs for an on-site visit. Late cancellations (less than 2 hours before a confirmed on-site visit) may incur a call-out fee.
7. Warranty
Completed repairs carry a 30-day warranty covering the same issue. If the problem recurs within 30 days of the original fix, ItMichael will re-examine it at no extra charge. This does not cover new issues, user-caused damage, or hardware failure unrelated to the original repair.
8. Third-party software and licensing
ItMichael does not provide pirated software or activation keys. If software installation is requested, the client must hold a valid licence or use free/open-source alternatives. ItMichael may recommend legitimate software options.
9. Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the issue
- Back up important data before any service
- Ensure the device is accessible (passwords, login credentials) — credentials are used only for the purpose of the service and are not stored
- Be available for communication during the service window
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights under Irish and EU law.
11. Changes
These terms may be updated periodically. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Continued use of ItMichael's services after changes constitutes acceptance.
